Elmwood Park’s Fall Fest Comments Off

ELMWOOD PARK – Residents and visitors will have a final opportunity of the year to enjoy a weekend of outdoor food and entertainment at the second annual Elmwood Park Fall Festival.

The two day event takes place from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, September 19, and from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, September 20.

“We’re building on the success of the Taste of Elmwood Park in August,” Trustee Jonathan Zivojnovic said. “And, by moving the festival to September this year, we’re expecting another huge crowd.”

Taste of Elmwood Park drew an estimated 15,000 to 20,000 people over a four-day weekend. “The community enjoys coming out for these kinds of outdoor events,” Village President Angelo “Skip” Saviano said. “We know they are excited!”

The Fall Festival will be held on Diversey Avenue between 73rd and 74th Avenues. It will feature live entertainment, a variety of food from local vendors as well as beer and wine, and pumpkin decorating, a petting zoo and pony rides for the kids.

“It’s another great way to celebrate our Centennial anniversary and to put the spotlight on our business community along Diversey Avenue,” Saviano said.
