As we move into the weekend I’d like to remind everyone to continue to practice social distancing protocol when out in public. We’re slowly taking steps to re-open our economies but we must remain diligent about maintaining six feet when in public and wearing masks whenever indoors or when six feet of distance is not possible. Please avoid large crowds of more than ten people and continue to wash your hands frequently. If we continue to practice all of these things, we can keep the rate of infection for coronavirus low.
A low rate of infection means we can open up more spaces with special social distancing protocol in place. Because you’ve all been successful in lowering the rate of infection, we’ve been able to create plans for the Fourth of July parade, summer drive-in concerts, and drive-in movies. You can find more information and make reservations for movies or concerts on the website. I’m also pleased to say that we’re bringing back some limited programming at the parks and recreation center. Check out their website for more details.
Your diligence has also allowed our local restaurants to re-open for outdoor dining. If you haven’t had a chance to grab a meal yet, consider purchasing dinner this weekend from one of our great dining establishments.
Stay healthy and safe,
Angelo “Skip” Saviano
