Now that summer is in full swing, I want to remind you to fill in your calendars with all the events we have coming up for this fun season. While we still must observe proper physical distancing measures and wear masks when we can’t comply with that requirement, there are many new freedoms being afforded to us once again, not the least of which is being able to make a reservation and dine at one of our fine Elmwood Park restaurants. Long-time residents know that Elmwood park is a mecca for fine food, but if you’re new to our area, you may not be aware of it. So, get out into the community and have a meal al fresco in Elmwood Park.
Also coming up is our first ever Drive- In Concert with Billy and the Jets, slated for June 25. Put the family in the car and drive-in to our concert arena at Elmwood Park High School. You must pre-register, so go to BillyandTheJets.EventBrite.com to reserve a spot today. And if you weren’t able to get tickets to our drive-in movie, “Cars” set to go on June 24, stay tuned to hear what our next drive-in movie will be and how you can make your reservation.
And yes, we will have our annual fourth of July Parade. This year though, vehicles will parade up and down almost every street in town. Everyone is encouraged to stand in front of their property and watch the parade go by! I’m looking forward to it and I hope you are too.
