Dear Residents,

Our community has worked hard to stem the spread of the coronavirus by keeping physical distance and wearing face coverings when out. We’ve flattened the curve by washing hands frequently, and by staying at home during the state stay-at-home order. These challenges have been difficult.

The good news is that the hard work is paying off. All of your commitment has gotten us to phase four of reopening this Friday. Remember, as we move farther into reopening, we must remain diligent. If you feel sick, stay home and contact your doctor.

In phase four, we will be able to reopen more of our local businesses and restaurants will be allowed to seat patrons indoors with limits on capacity. Also, make sure you check with the parks and recreation department as they continue to re start programming with some modifications.  But the pool and other facilities will be open and I encourage our residents to come out and enjoy them.

Thanks again for your hard work on flattening the COVID-19 curve. Let’s stay the course. Remember, we are Elmwood Park – Coming Together.

Stay safe,

Angelo “Skip” Saviano
