Dear Residents,

“Normal” is returning to life and it feels good. And this weekend marks the beginning of the return of indoor dining at many restaurants. Table space will be limited so be sure you get a reservation for your favorite dining spot well in advance.

I have been heartened by the response to our drive-in concert and movie and we are working to schedule more of these types of events so please stay tuned. And with the 4th of July approaching, please be sure to pencil in our fun-filled holiday parade before your family barbeque. Parade vehicles will be driving up and down practically every residential street in Elmwood Park to make for easy viewing from your front yard. You can get in on the fun by decorating your own house for Independence Day.

Please remember that while you are out in public, maintaining a proper six foot social distance, and wearing a mask if you can’t, is the very best way to stop the spread of Covid-19. By doing that you are helping yourself and everyone around you.

I have been proud of the way our community has rallied together during this time. It truly makes me feel that we are Elmwood Park—Coming Together.

Stay Well,

Angelo “Skip” Saviano
