The Village of Elmwood Park will not be canceling trick-or- treating this year.

Instead on Saturday, October 31st from 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM children will be allowed to trick-or-treat at homes that display an official Village of Elmwood Park “Trick-or-Treater Welcome Here” sign.

Signs are available to download at our website www.elmwoodpark.org, can be picked up at the Village Hall, Parks and Recreation Department, Library and Public Safety Building. On October 31st, please display the sign on your door and turn your lights on if you choose to participate.

To make this year’s Halloween safe for everyone please follow all CDC guidelines, by wearing a face covering, and follow social distancing.

We would also like to recommend using different non-contact ways to pass out treats. Leave goody bags on your porch, or lawn, etc.

All parents/guardians should accompany trick-or-treaters. Please remember to cross in the crosswalks and check all candy before it is eaten.

Stay safe and have fun!
